December - it's great it's Christmas
One of the months in the year I enjoy, full of sparkle, celebrations and streets are lit up by christmas decorations. Some of the christmas images I captured on camera:

An abundance of Christmas trees were sold everywhere, all perfectly shaped and all of one size it appeared. At a local garden centre I did manage to find a small tree which could be grown on in the garden. Growing Christmas trees has become an intensive business with shape and colour no longer left to chance. Trees are pruned and sheared to conform to an ideal shape and some are power sprayed with an evergreen dye in September. The justification no doubt is that the trees are grown specifically for christmas. See the link : A Guide to Growing Christmas Trees and more information at The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The little tree I have will be grown "free range" and hopefully will spread it's branches where it will.
