Sisters and Changes. |
|
A friend of mine is one of seven sisters. It has fascinated me over the years how
life must be to be so well endowed with "sisters". As an observer the word "cozy"
springs to mind. I expect they could tell a different story if asked.
This is a picture of them when they were all quite small, the age difference between
the youngest and eldest is only six years.

Looking at the picture one would expect to see changes as they grow older.
The one below is of six of the sisters when they were evacuated to Cheedle
during the last war. The eldest one stayed at home to look after mother.

Although their features have changed it is easy to identify
which sister is which, perhaps it is so because I have known them as adults
for some years. The next picture is of the seven sisters at one of the sisters'
wedding.

And if you asked my friend, there are more pictures of the seven sisters taken at weddings,
birthdays and other family occasions. Features change over time, having their
picture taken as a group hasn`t. It seems to me a record of their unchanging
unity as sisters - regardless of the changes that time bestows on us.
